It Isn’t Easy Being Green!

Our mission at shoo!TAG® is to promote “Green” values. This is the core of our business, even before we ever launched the first shoo!TAG® product. That means that every member of our company is committed to protecting our environment first, and then searching for ways to make our lives and the lives of our pets better. And because being “Green” is so important to us, we  knew we had to develop strong recycling practices that not only protected our environment, but also provided aid to those in need. Today, we call this practice the shoo!cycle program. Here is how it works:

After you’ve reached the four (4) month expiration date on your shoo!TAG® product, simply send us your tag(s), and we will shoo!cycle it by doing one of two things.

1)      If we are able to re-encode the tags, meaning we are able to make them work again, we will donate the tags to a participating philanthropic organization. For example, pet tags are sent to animal shelters for use while the animals are waiting for their forever home. People tags are sent to homeless shelters, where those who spend the majority of their time outdoors are able to use them until they find a permanent home as well.

2)      If we are unable to re-encode tags, they are crushed up and the remnants are used to make the next shoo!TAG®s. Who knows, maybe somewhere down the line you will be using part of a tag that you returned to us. Now that is pretty cool!

Talk about full circle recycling! We value this part of our business more than any other area, and we hope that your family will join us in this effort. You can feel better about helping the environment as well as your neighbors. Plus your pets can feel great about helping their friends as well.
