American Pet Products Association
Founded in 1958, APPA is the leading not-for-profit trade association made up of over 1000 pet product manufacturers, their representatives, importers and livestock suppliers. Our membership consists of a diverse group 
representing both large corporations and growing business enterprises worldwide. APPA’s mission is to promote, develop and advance pet ownership and the pet products industry and to provide the services necessary to help its members prosper. To accomplish these objectives and to provide APPA members with valuable benefits, the Association works hard to develop programs and services which serve our members’ unique needs. By conducting industry-related market research and holding educational seminars and teleconferences, APPA helps keep you in the know about important industry information, and gives you the tools you need to make important business decisions.

With the invention of the shoo!TAG® it was imperative to us that we develop strong recycling practices that not only protected the environment, but helped others in need as well. That's why we created the shoo!cycle program. After 4 months, send us your used tags and we will shoo!cycle them by either refurbishing them for use in animal and homeless shelters or crushing them into scrap that we can use to make new tags. Now that’s full circle recycling! We hope that your family will join us in this effort. You can feel better about helping the environment and your neighbors. Plus your pets can feel great about helping their friends as well.
